마블 “앞으로 게이 히어로 더 많이 등장할 것”(공식)

Marvel’s production chief Victoria Alonso declared the world is ready for a gay hero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Alonso spoke with Variety at the Los Angeles premiere of Captain Marvel where she addressed the reports that Marvel is looking to cast a gay actor for their upcoming Eternals film. Alonso stated, “We are going to cast the best Eternals cast that we can. And when we are ready to announce it, we promise you we will.”

Alonso was then asked about why Marvel is so committed to diversity, she responds:

“Why wouldn’t we be? Why wouldn’t we be? I’m so passionate about this. Our entire success is based on people that are incredibly different. Why wouldn’t we? Why wouldn’t we only want to be recognized by one type of person? Our audience is global, is diverse, it’s inclusive. If we don’t do it that way for them, we will fail. If we don’t put pedal to the metal and the diversity and inclusivity, we will not ha.ve continued success. Our determination is to ha.ve that for all of the people out there watching our movies.”
